Agios Minas beach

Agios Minas is a popular, picturesque beach located in close proximity to Chalkida and about 3 km from the old bridge of this resort. It offers an impressive view of the city, and the beach itself is very well equipped and is especially popular among families with children.

Beach description

The shore and bottom are covered with fine white sand, and the sea waters impress with incredible purity and transparency. Entry into the water is very gentle, a significant part of the shoreline is occupied by shallow waters. Combined with calm sea or light breezes and the absence of large waves, the beach of Agios Minas is ideal for a safe holiday with babies.

Holidaymakers can rent umbrellas and deck chairs. Near the coast (just across the road from the beach) there are many coastal restaurants, traditional fish taverns and bars, but none on the beach. There are two piers on the beach, from which you can go for boat trips on comfortable powerboats or more budget motor boats. Boat trips are very popular here. The driveway passes in close proximity to the beach, which allows you to get here easily and makes this place particularly popular.

When is the best time to go?

Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season  begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
