Beach description
The promenade of Galileo Galilei is a visiting card of the beach area, one of the busiest places in the city with numerous night clubs, restaurants, pubs and pizzerias. Here you can have fun and have a delicious lunch, counting on a good gourmet cuisine. A few kilometers from the promenade, picturesque rocky ridges rise. The beach of Lido San Giovanni managed to preserve the pristine virginity and charm of nature. Its sand dunes are covered with lush vegetation.
The vast coast of Lido San Giovanni is covered with fine golden sand. Under the clear emerald water, small reefs or waves polished by waves sometimes come across. A gentle descent into the sea favors the relaxation of families with children. Umbrellas, sun loungers and sports equipment can be rented on the beach.
The sea here is almost always calm. Only occasionally a light tramontan wind rises, allowing you to enjoy sailing.
When is it better to go
In terms of climate, the period from May to October is the most favorable for visiting Italy. The air and water temperature becomes ideal for a classic beach holiday, followed by a trip to the coast of Italy. However, it is necessary to remember that a long summer with the scorching sun, warm sea and pleasant sea breeze attracts crowds of tourists.
