Roccette beach

Rochette is a beach located near Grosseto in Tuscany. It is considered one of the most remote, “hidden” beaches, where there are not too many people.

Beach description

The shallows of the beach will delight those who can not swim. But in general — this is a great place to relax with children: they can splash around as much as they like. But for many, this will be a drawback, because it will take a long time to go to the deep parts. But the water is crystal clean, the bottom is covered with sand, just like the coast. There is a castle on the west side and you can admire it from the beach.

How to get here

Pisa Central Station - A place to get from the airport. Then take the train to Grosseto. Then take the bus and get off at the Castiglione Rocchette Parcheggio Mare stop. It is advisable to relax in Rochette during the summer season.

When is it better to go

In terms of climate, the period from May to October is the most favorable for visiting Italy. The air and water temperature becomes ideal for a classic beach holiday, followed by a trip to the coast of Italy. However, it is necessary to remember that a long summer with the scorching sun, warm sea and pleasant sea breeze attracts crowds of tourists.

Here you should definitely visit the Archaeological Museum and examine Etruscan artifacts. In addition to the old culture, you can enjoy Tuscan cuisine in one of the many restaurants.
