Godalen is located on the western coast of Norway, is a part of popular tourist rout. Tourists, decided to stop here, can sunbathe on the soft white sand, swim in crystal clear water, play volleyball, walk along the fjords to the pier or lighthouse, ride a bike.
Godalen is a wonderful natural area, which allows to relax from noisy cities and meet with friends (however, in summer the beach is crowded). Photography lovers will find here breathtaking views. One of them is bioluminescent algae which look like fireflies, and which can be seen in water at night.
When is it better to go
The most suitable time for a beach recreation in Norway is the beginning of summer. In the country of fjords from June to July the sun shines almost around the clock. In the southern resorts, the air temperature warms up to + 17-23 °C. May and September will be a great alternative to the summer months, when the weather is still warm, but there are fewer tourists. Arriving in Norway in the winter, you can significantly save on tickets and hotel accommodation, and at the same time see the northern lights.
