If tourists want some entertainments, they can go to Selje to join the excursion to a monastery or to dive into the nightlife of this city. In 50 km from the beach is located Godøy island, which is famous for its natural treasures. Among the most visited places are 497-metre mountain Storhornet (Bull horn), and a fabulously beautiful lake Alnesvatnet.

When is it better to go

The most suitable time for a beach recreation in Norway is the beginning of summer. In the country of fjords from June to July the sun shines almost around the clock. In the southern resorts, the air temperature warms up to + 17-23 °C. May and September will be a great alternative to the summer months, when the weather is still warm, but there are fewer tourists. Arriving in Norway in the winter, you can significantly save on tickets and hotel accommodation, and at the same time see the northern lights.
