Beach description
Adraga - a small golden sandy stretch of the North Atlantic coast, washed by the blue waters of crystal clearness and surrounded by huge fantastically indented cliffs. This is an ideal place for contemplation of the virgin nature, paragliding and surfing. International ecologists praised the quality of the beach by awarding it with the "Blue Flag". Adraga is known for its excellent fish restaurant, facilities for people with disabilities and the availability of the necessary infrastructure.
Adraga Beach is located 13 kilometers away from Sintra, in the Lisbon Riviera. It is most convenient to get here by car from the city of Cascais by a winding mountain road laid along the coastline. Upon reaching Almoçageme, turn left and after a few minutes you will be at your destination. Despite the inaccessibility, the beach of Adraga is very popular, which can create problems with finding a parking place, especially on weekends.
When is it better to go
The beach season in Portugal lasts from the beginning of June until September, when the air temperature reaches +30°C and the water temperature - +19°C. It should be remembered that the Atlantic Ocean does not warm up well and cools quickly, lovers of a more comfortable temperature can swim in natural stone pools, which are quite numerous on the coast.
