Dolzhanskaya Spit Beach
The beach on Dolzhanskaya Spit is a sandy strip of land covered by shell rock, one coast of which is washed by the Sea of Azov, and the other by the bay. Its total length is about 10 km, therefore, both the most equipped and absolutely wild sections are found here without any sign of civilization in adjacent area. It is this nuance that makes it possible to find here rest for every taste and makes the Dolzhanskaya village especially popular among vacationers on the Azov coast west of Yeisk.

Beach description
Dolzhanskaya is a small, but one of the most ecological resorts in the Sea of Azov. At the beginning of the spit (in the north), the most equipped beach areas are located; on its outskirts, lovers of water sports and wild recreation usually relax. It should be borne in mind that there are places on Dolzhanka where swimming is prohibited, as it is evidenced by warning signs.
Although the landscaping of the beach in its individual sections is different, there are several characteristics inherent in its entire coast.
- The entire beach on the spit is sandy-shell.
- Throughout the spit, the approach to the sea is gentle, but the depth begins already in a few meters from the beach.
- In the southwestern part of the spit, its width reaches 10-15 m, and on the opposite side it is only 5 m.
- If the wind blows on one side of the spit and high waves form, then at the same time, on the other, the water is calm and you can swim safely.
The beach site at the camping "Assol" with a length of 180 m and a width of about 50 m has the most developed infrastructure. From the west, it borders a stretch of beach belonging to the Yakor campsite. The beach at the "Yeisk Forest Park" is the longest - about 2.5 km. Once there was a forested area near it, now a small grove remains from it, but even it makes this beach the greenest on the spit and the most shady.
The beach near Lebedinoe Ozero stretches for 600 m. It is washed by the Taganrog Bay and is limited by a reservoir, which in the summer dries up and attracts tourists with healing mud.
The westernmost part of the spit, with a length of about 2 km, represents the “wild” beaches, the most popular among lovers of water sports. Here usually come in own cars, with tents and provisions. The most well maintained beach here is near the Serfpriyut b/o.
When is the best time to go?
The climate of the Azov coast is somewhat similar to the Crimean: as dry but hotter. In the second half of summer, the temperature often rises to 30 degrees and above, stuffy reigns. To make the rest more comfortable, it is worth choosing the period from the end of May to the first half of July. The temperature of water and air at this time does not drop below 20 degrees, and the sun does not bake so much.

Features of the infrastructure on the beach on Dolzhanskaya Spit largely depend on a particular stretch of the beach area. Near recreation centers and campsites you can find the maximum available comfort.
- At Assol Camping there are cabins where you can change clothes, are showers and toilets, litter bins. Rent of sunbeds and tents is available, there are gazebos with barbecue facilities, scooters are available for rent. In season, rescuers are on duty. Nearby there are several stalls and a summer cafe.
- At camping "Yakor" are available showers, gazebos for recreation, toilets, attractions, a summer cafe, water transport rent is available.
- Camping "Yeyskiy Lesopark" has a minimum of amenities on the beach, sports and playgrounds for children, benches for relaxing in the shade, arbors, tents, food stalls.
- At b / o "Serfpriyut" are schools of surfing, kiting, etc. and equipment rental points for such activities. There is a cafe, a dining room and a bar.
In the vicinity of the spit there are about 20 recreation centers, inside the village are many guest houses. Accommodation near the beach is possible on the recreation center "Kozachiy bereg", "Assol", "Roza Vetrov".
