Barracuda beach
Barracuda is one of the most visited beaches Adler, on which in the season there’s simply nowhere for an apple to fall. But the convenient location, the ability to easily reach it from any corner of Sochi and the excellent infrastructure do not reduce the number of people who want to relax on it. Numerous recreational activities organized on the coast attract both youth and families with children - it’s never boring here, because swimming on the beach can always be combined with interesting leisure activities.

A rather narrow coast of Barracuda with a length of about 200 m is covered with small and medium pebbles. Small pebbles prevail on the seabed, and large sharp stones are absent, so it is possible to enter the water here even without rubber slippers. But walking barefoot along the coast is not very comfortable.
- Smooth entry into the sea and slight light waves make it possible to relax here even with young children.
- The presence of lifeguards, security guards and even a doctor on duty give the beach to Barracuda the status of the safest, and therefore the most desirable coast for relaxing with children.
- In the storm (and they nevertheless take place on the Black Sea coast), of course, even adults should not approach the water.
Minuses - crowds of vacationers, so this is not the best place for a sword melting about privacy. Another minus is the proximity to the railway line, which adds noise to the beach.
It is also worth considering that the local sea waters do not differ in the purity characteristic of the beaches of the Adriatic and the Mediterranean, and have a cloudy greenish tint. They are usually cooler than on other beaches in Sochi because of the proximity to them of the Mzymta river, which flows into the sea. Therefore, rest here is relevant only in the summer, even by the end of September it’s cold to swim in Barracuda.

Infrastructure
You can stay next door to the beach in the eponymous mini-hotel. That's just about the reservation is worth thinking in advance, because there are few numbers in it. Otherwise, you have to choose from Adler's hotels.

- For a comfortable stay on the beach, you can rent all the necessary arsenal of accessories, including umbrellas, sun loungers, tents and air mattresses.

- There are a number of cafes on the beach and its surroundings where you can eat. There are bistros on the coast during the season.
- Near the coast you can find several shops that will please you with pretty reasonable prices compared to the astronomical prices on the beach itself.
As with many Black Sea beaches, Barracuda is characterized by the wide availability of services right on the beach: massage, tattooing, shugaring, braiding, etc. There is also a playground on the coast.

- This beach is located not on the Adler embankment, but a little north of the resort town, although there is a cobblestone street along the coast for walking along the sea. In fact, this is a suburb of Adler, and the beach is easier to find by reaching a stop at the "Zvanie" sanatorium and going down from it to the sea for about 400 m along Alleynaya Street. From Sochi, the path to the sanatorium will take about 40-50 minutes, and from Adler - from 15 to 40 minutes (it all depends on traffic jams).
- When resting here in the middle of summer it is better not to be on the beach in the afternoon - from heat will not save either an umbrella or sea water. It is also worth considering that drunk or night swimming is prohibited and punishable by fines.
- A sea tram sets off from the coast of Barracuda to the sea, a walk on which allows you to enjoy the panorama of Sochi, so you should not miss such an opportunity for leisure. You can also rent a boat for sea fishing trips. Near the Barracuda Hotel you can find a rental center for bananas and catamarans.
- On the coast, various competitions are often held to brighten up beach activities. Here, they can unexpectedly choose the queen of the beach or organize unusual competitions on the water. You can visit the Oceanarium complex 1.5 km from the beach.
