Sukko Central Beach

The Sukko Valley has a unique microclimate, which was formed due to a natural shield from the mountain ranges bordering the bay. Its slopes are covered with juniper thickets. They produce oxygen, enriched with phytoncids and ions making the air truly healing. There are very comfortable conditions for vacationers of different ages, because water is calm and shallow, there are no flows that could take vacationers far from the beach. Thanks to this, children feel free and their parents feel more relaxed, as the conditions for their children are as safe as possible.

Beach description

Central Beach is located in the Sukko Valley in the vicinity of Anapa. It is a pebble beach of medium width, on which quite a lot of vacationers gather during the holiday season. Nevertheless, there is a place for everyone ... The climatic conditions here are more than comfortable, in comparison with other beaches: water is several degrees lower than on other beaches, waves and wind are in exceptional cases only. Basically, it is a calm and safe stretch of the sea for swimming.

Pebbles are small and trimmed, so walking on it is convenient even without shoes. In addition, such barefoot walks have a therapeutic effect on the whole body: there is a massage of the feet and internal organs. This procedure is considered to be one of the best medicines for those who suffer from flat feet and diseases of the musculoskeletal system.

Central Beach is famous for the cleanest sea in the vicinity of Anapa. In addition, the waves here are lower and smaller than on the neighboring shallow sandy beaches. The bay itself is safe for bathing even for toddlers and beginning swimmers, since there are no flows and “harbor oscillation”. Although the beach is pebble, its bottom under water is gently sloping and gently lowering. There are no huge slippery underwater boulders here, so you can enter the sea without fear. And an indisputable merit is the fact that when you come home, you don’t have to crush the sand from everywhere and wash the dirty goods using it.

When is the best time to go?

On the Black Sea coast, unlike the Crimean steppes, a sub-Mediterranean climate reigns. The temperature of the Black Sea in the summer is stable 23-27 ° С. However, the air temperature may vary slightly depending on the period: if you are uncomfortable in the heat, then choose May or September to relax. 20 degrees is a standard indicator. The warmest and driest time is July and the first half of August: will be a little hotter, but the sea will be warmer.

Infrastructure

Since the beach is pebble, wooden walkways have been laid all over its territory for additional convenience. Without leaving the beach area, vacationers will find:

  • toilets;
  • shower cabins;
  • changing cabins;
  • rental services of water equipment.

Many guest houses and hotels have been built right on the beach. One of them can be safely called family: the hotel Charme’L is a small complex with comfortable rooms, equipped with new furniture and separate kitchens, gazebos, children's and sports grounds.

Regarding leisure activities, local entrepreneurs offer a rich program for every taste: vacationers can parachute, go for a ride on a catamaran, ride a water bike, go on a boat trip along the Black Sea coast.

Also here you can often meet scuba diving or snorkeling, as the pebble beach is always cleaner and richer regarding vegetation and fish. In addition, at the bottom of the bay there is a sunken ship, and divers periodically find historical remnants close to it.

Useful information

  1. Unlike other beaches near Anapa, the Central Beach is a little cooler (this applies to both water and air). This is especially felt in the middle of summer, when being outdoors in the daytime is unbearable. During this period, the beach is full of vacationers, as its shore is the only secluded place, that is not hot.
  2. On both sides of the beach cliffs are descending to the sea. They serve as natural breakwaters that are breaking waves away from the beach. That is a reason, why there are no strong waves and powerful flows.
  3. Between Anapa and Sukko distance is only 21 km. By car, you can get here in half an hour or less. If using taxi, then it will take about the same amount of time. However, private cars and transfers are not the only options to get to the beach. A much cheaper trip will be on a minibus number 109, which leaves from the Eastern market of Anapa. You need to get out at the stop "Smena recreation center". Round-trip fare will cost about 120 roubles. Driving time is from 6 to 22, but there is no clear schedule. The closer to dusk, the more difficult it is to leave Sukko by public transport.
