Beach description
Since Durso beach is located in a bay, it is almost impossible to catch windy weather here. On the sea surface calm and silence reigns - for the lack of waves this secluded place is loved by families with small children. Despite the lack of wind, the air on the beach is exceptional: behind the beach there is a conservation area where juniper and coniferous forests grow.
Durso Beach occupies 5,000 square meters and consists of two separate plots:
- one - Central beach with sun loungers, parasols and wooden paths leading to the sea;
- the second is located beyond the mountains, mostly nudists rest there.
It is on a wild beach where people pitch tents and stay there for several weeks. This place attracts nature lovers with the lack of infrastructure and basic amenities.
Both beaches are pebble, though on the Central the stones are smaller and more convenient for walking. Regarding water, it is transparent and clean along the entire beach. Firstly, this is the “merit" of pebbles, and secondly, a small number of vacationers. The village is just developing and few people know about the local beauties.
When is the best time to go?
On the Black Sea coast, unlike the Crimean steppes, a sub-Mediterranean climate reigns. The temperature of the Black Sea in the summer is stable 23-27 ° С. However, the air temperature may vary slightly depending on the period: if you are uncomfortable in the heat, then choose May or September to relax. 20 degrees is a standard indicator. The warmest and driest time is July and the first half of August: will be a little hotter, but the sea will be warmer.
