Melenara beach

Melenara Beach is located in the north-east of Gran Canaria, in the small village of the same name. Foreign tourists are not very familiar with its beauties, but it is well known to locals. The Spaniards know where to relax in order to avoid the noise and the continuous flow of foreigners.

Beach description

A secluded beach is covered with dark imported sand. Directly from the embankment, the colorful houses of locals who successfully use such a location look at the ocean. In addition to a beach holiday, you can go to the famous reef Bufadero de la Garita. You can get to the beach from Las Palmas Airport by bus or taxi. The distance to the center of the village is 5 kilometers.

When is it better to go

In Gran Canaria, warm winters and hot summers reign, however, the weather on the island can vary greatly depending on the chosen vacation spot. In the south, it is always warmer and drier thanks to the mountains that hold back the cold air flow, which is why the main resorts are located there. Summer – is the best time for a beach holiday in Gran Canaria.
