Wasaga beach

Wasaga is a long beach on the shores of Lake Huron, Toronto, the Province of Ontario. Nearby settlements: Tiny, Clearview and Collingwood. It's considered the most popular among all freshwater resorts in the world. The length of the coastline is 14 km, which offers excellent panoramic views of Georgian Bay and the mountains.

Beach description

The shore and bottom are covered with white and fine sand; the water is fresh, clean and transparent. The infrastructure is well developed: a variety of cozy cafes, restaurants on the coast, there are comfortable hotels. A room with a parking space and everything you need will cost 60 – 70 dollars. People get to the resort by bus, taxi, private car and transfer.

Every year millions of tourists from all over the world come to Wasaga Beach. There're enough entertainments: in summer, people ride bicycles, longboards, rollers along the beach, while in winter they go skiing, riding snowmobiles, or go fishing. Rental centers provide water scooters, boats for rent. A paved road is located alongside the coastline – a promenade for walks with numerous attractions, shops and bars. The national park of Georgian Bay is next to Wasaga Beach, and the famous Niagara Falls are located nearby.

When is it better to go

In most of Canada, there is a mild, temperate climate, in the north is subarctic. The average temperature in July is +21 degrees in the south and up to -4 in the Arctic archipelago. Winters are cold – in the south +4 degrees, in the north to -35. Precipitation is up to 1250 mm per year in the north and up to 2500 on the coast of the Atlantic and the Pacific Ocean. A sharp frequent change in atmospheric pressure. It is not hot in the country. On the Atlantic coast, the weather is unstable - it is warm in summer, storms in winter, snowfalls. The best time to relax in Canada is the summer months.
