Beach description
Beach is characterized by a smooth set of depth, soft surface and cloudless weather. There are good waves and a strong but warm wind on beach.
Interesting fact: local beauties have played an important role in New Zealand culture. They appeared in the films of Barry Barclay and Nicky Caro, sung in the poems of Alain Kuranov, reproduced in the paintings of Albrecht and Siddel.
Guests of the beach are offered the following entertainment:
- conquering mountain peaks on trampled paths;
- diving and snorkelling near the rocks;
- exploration of deserted islands;
- picnics on the ocean;
- walks along the beach and forests.
Despite the proximity to the capital, there are no nightclubs and noisy bars on the beach. Local infrastructure is limited to toilets, a couple of hotels and cozy cafes. Almost all "benefits of civilization" are located in the surroundings of the village of the same name.
Karekare has a very diverse contingent. Families with children, water sports fans, divers, naturalists and athletes have a rest here. This place can be reached by bus, private transport or taxi.
When is the best time to go?
The best time to travel to New Zealand is December-January, the local summer. Despite the warming, the temperature rarely exceeds 30 degrees, so relaxing on the beach here is very comfortable.
