This beach is designed for active and dynamic vacation. If you want something calmer, take a look at the nearby Playa Blanca beach. However, for those who want to enjoy the atmosphere of unrestrained fun and get a rush of adrenaline from water sports, we still recommend staying at Rodadero beach.
It has begun to be popular since the 1950s. This paradise with warm white sand and calm turquoise ocean water in Santa Marta is considered the most visited on the northern coast of Colombia. It will be comfortable to relax here for various categories of tourists: lovers of water sports, families with children and even those who can't swim well or can't do it at all.
A gentle even bottom underwater allows you to take unhurried barefoot walks along the coast and enjoy the Colombian romance of the surroundings. By the way, it attracts couples in love to spend their honeymoon here enjoying the Caribbean sunset under the arch of palm branches with the taste of the local Aguardiente liqueur.

The best time to visit Colombia is from December to April, when the weather is relatively warm and the rains are replaced by the dry season. It should be borne in mind that the coast is always hotter than in the highlands, for example, in the capital Bogota.
