Marari beach
Marari is a beach on a narrow isthmus between the Arabian Sea and the inland lake of the fishing village of Mararikulam.

Beach description
The coastline with a length of 4.5 km is covered with white sand. Dense tropical thickets stretch along the coast. The entrance to the sea is gentle, the bottom is sandy. You can walk barefoot on the beach and in the water. The sea is turbulent, quite high waves, but sometimes there are periods of complete calm, when you can swim. There are paid sunbeds and umbrellas, several small cafes work.
Marari is attractive for lovers of peace and quiet. Near the beach there are several luxury hotels. Hotel sections of the beach are clean and have excellent beach infrastructure. Near Marari are the temples of Shiva and Cherthala Karthiyani, and the central square of the village is decorated with the church of St. Augustine. From Mararikulam you can go on excursions to Cochin, the elephant nursery, to the snake farm and to Alapuja to the Snake regatta, which is held annually in November.
When is it better to go
The best time to spend holidays on the beaches of India – is from November to March. These months have less rainfall, humidity is 60 - 70%, and the water temperature in the Indian Ocean is +29 degrees. There are many vacationers throughout the year.
