Veli beach
Veli – a beach in the fishing village of the same name, 7 km from the capital of Kerala. This is a great place for walking, picnics, meditation. You can get to Veli by bus, taxi, rented car from the airport or city.

Beach description
The beach is covered in golden sand. The descent into the sea is flat, the bottom is sandy. The sea is often rough. A large shady park, abounding with rare plants and picturesque sculptural compositions, approaches the beach strip. Boat rental is available on the beach, there is a restaurant and an outdoor theater. Pony rides are provided for children. Near the beach there are many inland lakes, separated from the sea by narrow sandy isthmuses.
Veli is a rather popular beach where you can meet locals and tourists of different ages. The proximity of the city and the airport has made the beach a favorite vacation spot for many citizens and guests of Trivandram.
When is it better to go
The best time to spend holidays on the beaches of India – is from November to March. These months have less rainfall, humidity is 60 - 70%, and the water temperature in the Indian Ocean is +29 degrees. There are many vacationers throughout the year.
