Maya Bay beach
Maya Bay beach is located in a bay, protected from the sea by cliffs. The bay connects to the open ocean with a very narrow passage, so the atmosphere of a lost paradise reigns on Maya Bay. It was on this beach that they shot one of the scenes of the "The Beach" movie.

Beach description
Maya Bay is a short stretch of coral sand (300-400 meters), which is literally sandwiched between huge hundred-meter-high cliffs overgrown with picturesque tropical vegetation. The bay and its surroundings are simply mesmerizing! The sea here has a very beautiful color, different shades of turquoise. There is a coral reef at the bottom of the bay, so the sand on the beach is special - very fine, soft and light.
The island is part of a national park. Bay and Maya beach is not so much suitable for a beach holiday, but for viewing as part of an excursion trip or diving. The views here are really extraordinary, and you can enjoy the sand on any other, the less popular beach in the islands of Thailand with great comfort. The infrastructure in the reserve is minimal - there is a toilet and a small snack bar (in a wooden building). Food cannot be cooked on the beach, so you need to bring supplies of food and water with you.
You can get to the beach only by water, visiting the bay (as well as the entire reserve) is paid. Excursions trips are carried here only during the high season; weather conditions make visiting this attraction difficult at other times.
When is it better to go
The beaches of the province of Krabi are located in the southernmost region of the country, in a tropical climate zone. The best time for a journey is from November to April. This period is characterized by a stable temperature of air and water – about + 30 °C, smooth sea, lack of precipitation and harsh winds.
