Anse Turin or Turin bay is a beach with light gray sand and it offers a magnificent view of Pele Mount. It is wide, spacious and quite long. A mighty green massif, that encloses the beach territory from the road, makes local landscapes bright and colorful. Moreover, due to the trees growing right near the sand, a natural shadow is created, which is quite convenient for tourists who do not like to rent sun umbrellas. The beach is within walking distance to Saint-Pierre.
This is quite a large beach on the Caravel Peninsula, which is conditionally divided into several recreation areas. The most popular part of it is one where the playground is located. A huge number of families gather here with children every day, they have a good time playing on land and frolicking in water.
Deep and sheltered from the strong Atlantic waves, La Baie du Trésors beach is located in the bay, so waters are still and calm, and it is convenient to have a rest and swim with children there. However, it is sometimes not easy for the uninitiated ones to find this secluded paradise. The thing is, like the whole bay, it is accessible only to those who reach it on foot along the footpath from the Château Dubuc parking lot. It is not possible to approach closely. And it takes about 40 minutes to get there on foot from the designated point, hence not everyone will be able to overcome this route. Hence, the beach is mainly desert.
A distinctive feature of the beach is a long sand reef stretching some 400 meters from the beach to the ocean. Throughout the entire length, the depth of the water massif amounts to 10 cm, that's why vacationers with small children especially love this place. The trick is that you feel like beeing in water and on land at the same time. In order to reach the ocean you'll have a long way to go... And it feels like you are walking on water.
