Pointe Faula beach

A distinctive feature of the beach is a long sand reef stretching some 400 meters from the beach to the ocean. Throughout the entire length, the depth of the water massif amounts to 10 cm, that's why vacationers with small children especially love this place. The trick is that you feel like beeing in water and on land at the same time. In order to reach the ocean you'll have a long way to go... And it feels like you are walking on water.

Beach description

Winds blow here steadily but they do not bother vacationers. Those who swim poorly simply should not go to the depths so as not to face a wave or current. It is usually calm and shallow near the beach so both experienced swimmers and those who are just learning to float feel confident on this beach. And here come those who do kitesurfing and windsurfing. Water sports center operates on the beach so if you have never gone surfing, you can take an instructor and try your hand. Facilities and equipment can also be rented.

Parking is paid here, but it's not a problem to leave your car right near the beach. If you do not want to splash around in muddy and muddy water prior to visiting Pointe Faula, you should learn if there has been a storm within this area. It brings a lot of algae from the ocean that make it quite uncomfortable to swim or walk on the sand.

When is the best time to go?

It is best to go to Martinique in the dry season from December to May, when  the rains do not bother you, and the thermometer does not drop below 22 degrees. However, it should be remembered that in late December - early January, many tourists arrive on the island, which  affects prices.
