Batumi beach
The beach strip in Batumi stretches along the entire coast of the bay - from Batumi Sea Port to Batumi International Airport. It includes popular landscaped areas located in the central part of the city and peripheral secluded places with a minimum of infrastructure. The total length of the beach is more than 10 km, the width in some parts is 30-50 m.

Batumi beach consists of 9 separate beaches, combined into 4 main groups - central, suburban, new and wild. Some of them are well-equipped and crowded, some remain deserted and untouched by civilization.
- The central city beach is recognized as the best place for a beach rest in the city boundary. Thanks to the large number of entertainments, concentrated in its territory and around, it is a place of attraction for all tourists. The beach is located in the Old Boulevard region, surrounded by palm trees, along the beach line is equipped with a bike path. There is crowded at any time of the day. During the day visitors of different ages, with and without children, are attracted by the warm sea with a sloping slope and a safe rocky bottom, a clean shingle coast with comfortable conditions and the presence of several breakwaters, that protect the beach from big waves. In the evening and at night there are a lot of young people thanks to working late-night restaurants and cafes, night clubs, casinos, noisy parties and discos.
- The beach near the New Boulevard, being remote from the center, is a calmer place. There are many people here only in the high season - mainly those, who live nearby or specially come, tired of the crowds on the central beach. This beach is more suitable for walking or lazy relaxation, than for swimming, because it has a steeper slope into the sea. In addition, the water in this area of Batumi Bay is often muddy. The inconvenience of the beach at the New Boulevard is fully offset by its attractiveness. On the beach area there are many interesting objects - a musical fountain, large sculptures, flower beds. It is possible to get to the beach by public city transport or by car.
- The beach, located in the suburbs of the city - near the Opera House, is in demand among tourists, who rented housing in this area. The beach itself is long and narrow - no more than 20 m, due to its proximity to the highway, quite noisy. Coverage on the beach, like everywhere, is shingly, the slope to the water is sloping, the infrastructure on the beach is underdeveloped. it is possible to get to the beach by city bus or minibus.
- The beach on the outskirts of the Seaside Park is perhaps the most secluded and wild place in Batumi. There are few vacationers here even during season. Like other city beaches, this area is covered with large shingle, sometimes so large, that it makes it difficult to enter the sea. There is practically no infrastructure on the beach, the water in the region of this area of the bay may be muddy due to rivers, flowing nearby. The beach is located almost near the airport, so here it is possible to hear how planes take off. It is possible to get to it by taxi and town bus.

When is the best time to go?
In summer, Georgia has very hot weather, which sometimes interferes with enjoying beach vacations and excursions. Therefore, the best time to visit the Black Sea resorts falls on May, June and September.
