Shekvetili beach

Shekvetili - a small village near the Black Sea, located between the two resorts of Ureki and Kobuleti. The beach stretches over 3 kilometers here and is less known than the beaches in these towns, but in terms of its characteristics, it is not worse than others.

Beach description

Its main feature is black magnetic sand, the colour of which is due to the presence of magnetite in it. Rest in such a place will be favorable for people with sore joints and diseases of the cardiovascular system. It is good to rest here with children: the entry to the sea is sloping and shallow, there are no big waves and strong winds, and also it is possible to find many shells on the coast. Pine trees grow along the beach, giving the air a special smell, and in the evenings, many people prefer to walk in the eucalyptus park, where there are 35 sculptures of musicians and fountains. Due to the small number of people by the sea, many come here with tents.

There are few hotels and shops in the village, and there are no noisy bars and discos. Nearby sights: Amusement park Tsitsinatela and Georgia in miniature. From the beach, it is possible to reach them in half an hour by car, and in an hour - Batumi.

When is the best time to go?

In summer, Georgia has very hot weather, which sometimes interferes with enjoying  beach vacations and excursions. Therefore, the best time to visit the Black Sea resorts falls on May, June and September.
