Grand Baie beach

The coast and sea floor are covered with snow-white soft sand. Beach is shallow, the water deepens slowly. Swimming is not always comfortable due to the large crowd of boats off the coast.
Vacationers live in inexpensive hotels, apartments, guesthouses on the coast. You can get to the beach by taxi or bus. Grand Baie is the epicenter of nightlife in Mauritius. There are many discos, clubs and other entertainment venues open until the morning. For the comfort of tourists there are restaurants, cafes, showers, toilets and changing cabins. You can purchase the necessary goods in stores or in the Super U supermarket.

When is it better to go

Mauritius – is an island of volcanic origin, on the territory of which a humid tropical climate reigns. The best time for tourism  – is the Mauritian summer, which continues from September to March. During this period, the air warms up to +31 degrees, at night – up to +23 degrees. In the central part of the island, the air temperature is a couple of degrees lower than off the coast of the ocean. It rains all year, more precipitation falls from December to April.
