Gulangyu Island beach

Gulangyu island, located near Xiamen, has several beaches. They're all covered with sand and comfortable for relaxing. There are good conditions for swimming near the shore: clean water, smooth depth increase, comfortable entry into the water.

The island beaches are well equipped for recreation. They have changing stalls, showers, water entertainment and sports facilities rental. The beaches are located in places popular with tourists, so there are a lot of shops, restaurants and interesting sights near them.

The island is small in size, there are no large hotels here. Several private villas and hotels offer the possibility of renting accommodation. Prices on the island are quite high.

The island is famous for its architecture, a mix of traditional Chinese buildings and colonial villas. There are several interesting museums here, the most unusual one is devoted to music. There are many interactive attractions for tourists in Gulangyu (e.g., the Post of the Future or a quest with seals for the largest island attractions).

When is it better to go

China is located in three climatic zones, thus the timing for a beach vacation depends on the sections of the country to which you are bound for. The most successful time for a trip to China is conventionally accepted to be late spring and autumn.
