Saleccia beach

Plage de Saleccia is a bright white sand and a blinding turquoise sea. A remote beach in Corsica, about a kilometre long, not quite accessible, surrounded by Corsican pine trees and shrubs, which grows only here. Those who like privacy and distance from the world will like it.

Beach description

You can get here and to the neighboring beaches by powerboat, or by jeep. Especially active ones overcome the land road on foot. If you decide to drive – only in a four-wheel drive car. In summer, Saleccia is crowded, even though it's in a desert area. Tourists are attracted by the silver sand and pine trees that somehow miraculously grow right out of it. The local population is always happy to provide services to visitors, to organize educational excursions.

One of the peculiarities of the beach is the cows, which walk here all year round. They don't change their habits even in summer, so it's no surprise if they lie down to rest next to you.

Diving is developed all along the coast. It seems like the weather was specifically designed for surfing.

A perfect place to:

  • spend the day at the beach;
  • for those who love hiking in the mountains;
  • for those who like to watch the landscape from the water.
