Batsi beach
Batsi rises over the sea harbor on two hills. Once a fishing village, now it is the center of the spa life of Andros. Located just 7 km from the main port of the island, Gavrio. Endless open beaches and secluded small quiet bays stretch along the coast from one settlement to another.

Due to numerous touristic facilities and all the attributes of civilization among the best Greek views, Batzi became the first cosmopolitan island beach.
The bay is shallow, it is covered with sand of wonderful golden shade, and is protected from summer north winds forming sand clouds on other beaches. In spite of vast space open to the sun, you can find a private corner here in the shadow of tamarisks.
Batsi is loved among all layers of beach society, there are plenty of families with children due to perfect condition for recreation. "Horseless" travelers are also attracted by this village because there are so many options for vacations here: there are many sights here, 4 more beaches near, restaurants, and stores. Everything is situated within the walking distance, and you won't need a car, you won't have to forget about any pleasures.
The neighboring small beach of Colona is very cozy and has no waves at all due to the protecting cape.

When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.

Covered with red tiles, with blue eyes-shutters houses rise over the bay amphitheater. There are figs, bamboo grow closer to the shore... The village, which has acquired many tourist features, still remains traditional and retains the local flavor.
