Gialia beach

Gialia is two in one. Vacationers have the opportunity to choose from two options - a sandy or pebble beach. Ebros Gialia is a short walk along the rocky slopes and steps from Piso Gialia. Both fill well during peak season. A rocky, scenic path leads from the road leading to Stenies to the beaches.

Beach description

Ebros Gialia is a narrow and long, stretched along the road. There's pebbles and sand mixed under the feet, and a very nice tavern just a little aside. Behind the hill there is a beautiful Pizo Gialia, with sunbeds and umbrellas. They are issued when you buy a drink in a snack bar. To get to Pizo, you have to climb up to a hundred steps up the hill. The descent is about 130.

Those who have climbed the bay admire the wonderful views and visit the small chapel of Agia-Fotini, which stands here.

Pizo Galia is covered with fine sand, washed by clear blue waters, and decorated with stylish umbrellas a la Chunga Changa. Rocks and green vegetation approach it from three sides, sunbathers on the shore observe the cutting waves of a boat and water skiers. The waves conquer jet skis, and masked swimmers and fins explore the well visible bottom closer to the shore.

There is a bar on the beach, where tourists cool down with cool juices and cocktails, satisfy their hunger with snacks.

Galia is loved by all layers of the Greek and foreign population, there are good conditions for children, it is interesting for young people. Later in the evening, entertainments begins, it gets noisy from music and hot from dancing.

When is the best time to go?

Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season  begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
