Zorkos beach
Zorkos takes a northeastern part on the island. Crystal water, mountains from which vegetation descends like lava on a deserted sandy shore. The fragrance of plants and complete silence reigns around. The approaches to the beach are a good asphalt road along the coast, turning into a dirt road closer to the beach. Closer to north, Andros becomes less and less crowded.. There are absolutely desert places and wild beaches of incredible beauty. Zorkos is one of such. It is non-equipped at all, and you can find some sling chairs and umbrellas in a beach bar.
There can be a dozen of tourists on the beach, and they leave the place, so you can stay tete-a-tete with nature and ringing silence disturbed only by the dash of the waves. The natural beauty of these lands enchants the travelers.
The bay is clear and virgin. Only from time to time, north wind occurs here which tears the tree branches and raises sand and waves. On hot summer days, tourists hide in shadows of surrounding rocks. Not everyone will be able to enter the sea without special shoes. Small stones are from the right side of the bay.

When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
