Beach description

Snow white sandy beaches and endless blue ocean at the base of caves is the panorama of Las Grutas beach. Despite being close to Antarctica, the water temperature is 25 degrees on average. Las Grutas is known for big low tides that free up space for small lakes at the beach and caves. These spots are marked as natural pools that are especially popular among families with young children. Las Grutas tides are quick, even the lower caves of the beach can be flooded.

Exploring the spacious caves with unique energy isn't the only attraction at Las Grutas. Among other popular pastimes here are watching the large whales in the waters of Atlantic, diving and fishing at the shore of the Atlantic Ocean. A good spot for fishing isn't Las Grutas, however, but the small village of Rinconado 2 km away from it.
