Beach description
Miramar is a 12-km long beach with a wide shoreline. The sand is grainy, light yellow in color, without shells or stones. The water can be muddy at times because of frequent tides, but the sea bottom is clean and soft, without any seaweed. The descent is quite smooth, but the depth changes. The shallow waters of Miramar are in the south and the middle of the beach. The depth rises in the north, and that was the reason why a surfing school opened there, as well as some water attractions. Miramar is also known for its extreme fishing, you can catch white bream and Argentine sea bass.
It can be quite crowded during Summer, as many of the beaches in Argentina are, but you can find a solitary spot near the dunes at the edges of the beach. A large forest is also located at Miramar, and sometimes the tree crowns are so huge that they block the Sun completely.
When is the best time to go?
Since Argentina is located in the southern hemisphere, winter and summer change places, so the most favorable time for visiting beach resorts is from November to May.
