The descent is smooth, if you want to swim in the ocean, you'll have to swim a few meters away from the shore. Rescue workers are stationed at the beach. Monte Hermoso is a vast and 32-km long beach that may look a bit deserted for a vacation.
7 km away from Monte Hermoso, in Sauce Grande, is the home of the tallest lighthouse in South America, with its height of 73 meters. The lighthouse sends a white light navigation signal to Bahia Blanca every 9 seconds. Fascinating tours to this white-red lighthouse are scheduled every day.

Since Argentina is located in the southern hemisphere, winter and summer change places, so the most favorable time for visiting beach resorts is from November to May.
