Mar del Plata beach
This small town is located about 400 kilometers south of the country's capital. The large city is primarily a fishing center. However, there are many sandy beaches in the center, including on the promenade, one of them is Playa Grande (big beach) a little north of the main port. The other is a long spit that begins on the pierce, bordering the fishing port, and continues south of it for about five kilometers. A single beach complex has several names, in fact it is just passing beaches one into another without clear boundaries: Playa El Angel (Angel Beach), Playa De Marce Puerto (Port Beach), Ibiza, Playa Mariano (Sea Beach), Playa Guillermo (Money Beach), Playa Beach (both words translate as Beach) and South Beach (South Beach) from north to south.

Beach description
A long sandy beach stretched along the shoreline before. But then the first piers and a harbor were created in the middle of the future town, at a convenient location. It was widened and deepened with time, and port equipment was set up. The sandy surface was therefore cut artificially.
The long beach that goes along the whole town is similar in nature. The sand is mainly yellow-gray, sometimes dirty yellow-gray. It becomes even grayer closer to the water. The sand also becomes grainier near the sea. Near the town and the row of trees the sand becomes larger, half of it looks pebble-like. The harbor surface in the north of El Angel Beach consists of large stones covered in sand. Various stones, as well as rock priming which can injure visitors, can be encountered close to the sea.
The waters aren't equally deep along the whole shore. In the north of El Angel, near the artificial surface, the waters may be 2 m deep even at the shore. But the more popular Playa De Marce Puerto has more comfortable depth. 50 m away from the shore is where you won't be able to see or feel the sea bottom. Saying that, it's not advised to swim as far as that - the high seas and the ocean may have fast underwater currents. This is also why the beach isn't the best place for swimming during low season.
The beach is very popular. It's located in the town and is its promenade. A large amount of cafes and other buildings are built along the town streets. Much of the architecture near the beach consists of old Victorian and Creole buildings which also attracts both tourists and locals alike.
When is the best time to go?
Since Argentina is located in the southern hemisphere, winter and summer change places, so the most favorable time for visiting beach resorts is from November to May.

Infrastructure
Along the beach there are a big number of diverse establishments, including small hotels. In the southern part they are separated from the main massif of the city by a green mass of parks and artificial ponds. This contributes to privacy and a quality of relaxation. Most hotels offer approximately the same living conditions and its cost is equal. As exceptions, there may be only proximity to certain places that a vacationer may like. Also, some hotels have their own additional services, for example, the availability of a golf course.
On average, the price of a comfortable hotel fluctuates around $ 70-100 for a daily stay for a couple of adults. In particular, Hotel Uthgra Sasso, which is located directly close to the beach edge in the southern part of Playa de Marce Puerto.

The beach is not just a sandy area. Basically, there is a variety of related water activities. In the central part of Playa de Marce Puerto is located the Recreation Center, the water park Balneario Ulises Punta Mogotes and a small oceanarium on the South Beach. It is important to note that all the beaches are connected, and you can walk along them for a very long time. You cans see the difference between them only by the names of establishments, as well as by individual land areas.
An interesting park located in the category of specially protected areas is located in the north of the Sea Beach. There are also three different points in this place from which an excellent view of the coast and the bay opens.
