Los Frailes beach
Los Frailes is the best resort in the continental part of Ecuador. Beach is located in province of Manabi and belongs to Machalilla National Park.

Beach description
Beach line and bottom are covered with fine white sand. Beach is shallow, the water deepens slowly. There are no high waves and wind. Water in the ocean is transparent, clean, calm, warm. Beach is convenient for families with children. Resort is crowded, popular with locals and tourists from around world. Get to Los Frailes by bus, in advance of a rented transfer or taxi. There are no hotels and apartments on beach line. Infrastructure is not well developed. There are shops, cafes, bars, restaurants with local cuisine near beach.
Los Frailes is a popular beach with rich landscapes. Los Frailes is surrounded by endless forests with perennial trees, high hills and cliffs. There are observation decks, trails for walking among trees of strange shapes in dead tropical forests. There is no other vegetation, no palm trees.
When is it better to go
In search of a beach holiday, the continental part of Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands can be visited all year round; however, the period from December to May will be the best choice, because the water gets warmer and the rainy season softens the enervating heat.
