Mompiche beach
Mompiche is well-maintained beach for surfers with a well-developed infrastructure, located on the territory of the eponymous small fishing village in the province of Esmeraldas in northern Ecuador.

Beach description
Beach is surrounded by tropical forests and exuberance of vegetable growth. Beach line and the ocean bottom are sandy. Water is clean, transparent, warm. Wind is constantly blowing, strong waves are rising. Feature of beach – numerous wooden houses of fishermen in the vicinity. Infrastructure is represented by restaurants, cafes with delicious local cuisine of seafood and freshly caught fish.
Beach is crowded, reasonable and popular. Beach line is long, wide – a lot of places for outdoor activities and sports on water. Tourists book accommodation in hotels on beach and in city. Cost of rooms is varied. Get to the beach by taxi or bus. Resort is popular with locals and holidaymakers from around the world.
When is it better to go
In search of a beach holiday, the continental part of Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands can be visited all year round; however, the period from December to May will be the best choice, because the water gets warmer and the rainy season softens the enervating heat.
