Beach description
The beach strip, as well as the entrance to the water, is sandy. Water is suitable for bathing, wave riding on a Hawaiian board or surifng. There is a fishermen's market where you can buy freshly caught fish. Tourists can also go fishing in the ocean. Orcas often swim in these places. You can watch sea turtles swim ashore and dig in the sand near the fishing docks for food.
This place can be reached by bus, which goes from Lima to Mancora. But that's long enough, 10 hours. You can also fly the local airlines to Tumbes, and then take the bus. It will be closer and faster.
When is it better to go
The high season in Peru begins in February and lasts until April. It is summer in South America at this time. Ocean water warms up to +24˚С. The air temperature sometimes reaches +40˚С, but the winds become stronger. The rest of the time, the ocean water is cool, not higher than +18˚С.
