Chaloklum beach
This idyllic place is located on the north coast of island in a secluded Chaloklum bay, on the territory of the same name fishing settlement. The beach is surrounded by mountains and jungle on all sides.

Chaloklam has a lot of unique advantages that favorably distinguish it from other Pangan beaches:
- 2.5-kilometer length of the beach area, eliminating the crowding of vacationers and giving everyone opportunity to relax;
- water purity;
- shore with a gentle entrance and velvety white sand;
- sufficient sea depth for swimming within low tide;
- sandy bottom, free from pebbles at 2-3 meters from the shore (fans of long-distance swims can bypass the stones due to the amazing transparency of the water);
- the atmosphere of peace and bliss, not disturbed by boats and ships;
- Breakwater created in this area makes the sea calm;
- the absence of noisy visitors crowds (no wonder smiling Thais go to vacation on Chaloklum);
- narrow mountain trails and dense tropical thickets, framing the beach area;
- Opportunity to contemplate picturesque sunsets over the eastern mountain ranges.
When is it better to go
The period from November to March is considered the high season in Thailand. Comfortable air temperature, as well as minimal rainfall create optimal conditions for a beach holiday.

Infrastructure
Civilization on Chaloklam is present mainly in the form of fruit shops and coastal restaurants, concentrated near the pier. There are ATMs, gas stations, supermarket, several grocery and haberdashery shops in the district. There is also bookstore with Wi-Fi access. There is a health club for active tourists on the beach.

there are not many hotels on Chaloklam beach, but they all offer rooms at reasonable prices. The most popular are the following:

Where to eat
All beach restaurants serve seafood and fish dishes. International cuisine can also be found in the restaurant menu: spaghetti, burgers, salads.
What to do
Vacationers are provided with a number of interesting opportunities to spend leisure time:
- go fishing or crab hunting by renting fishing nets or fishing rods from locals;
- go diving in the dive center or snorkeling in the neighboring bay Haad-Khom (you can reach it by bike or even by foot);
- liven up secluded life in bars and cafes with live music, evening concerts and jam sessions (in one of them there is wakeboarding organized);
- attend cooking classes;
- take an intensive 2-week seminar dedicated to yoga (classes are held in Russian, as the yoga school is founded by Russians);
- make a pilgrimage to Chinese worship places: the temple with Buddha statues and the monastery.

How to get there
- You can get to Chaloklam resort from pier Thong Sala by taxi. To guess the time when ferries are moored there is recommended. This way the fare will correspond to fixed tariffs. < / li>
- you can also cover the distance from Thong Sala to the beach on a scooter rented on a daily basis (about $ 3). But go on mountain trails alone is preferable to people with special training only.
