Mae Haad is a place which must be visited for those who love exploring the depths of the sea. Snorkelers and divers come right here, to the North or Pangan.

Beach description
Mae Haad is one of the most spacious beaches on Pangan. Its borders are greatly expanded by a sandbar leading to the uninhabited island of Koh Ma.
Other advantages of this beach are:
- sand of a golden hue and medium grain (walking on such a coating is useful for feet);
- the population of coastal waters with a variety of marine creatures (colorful corals, ray-finned barracudas, fat perch, colorful butterflies, slippery jellyfish, shy crabs), which attracts divers;
- clean water, the bottom is seen even without a mask;
- shallow waters are perfect for holiday with children.
When is it better to go
The period from November to March is considered the high season in Thailand. Comfortable air temperature, as well as minimal rainfall create optimal conditions for a beach holiday.

Infrastructure
Mae Haad has everything that promotes active pastime and full rest:
- diving center with scuba diving training services;
- rental of tubes, masks, fins;
- several cheap restaurants;
- sun loungers and umbrellas;
- massage;
- saving from the heat gazebos;
- shower;
- bike parking under the cover.
In the future the infrastructure will be more developed. Currently, hotels and restaurants are being actively built here, roads are being laid.
Where to stop
Mae Haad has quite a lot of good and not expensive hotels, which are located in several meters from the sea.

- breakfasts in hotel restaurant;
- free Wi-Fi;
- proximity to the beach;
- picturesque views on Koh Ma Island;
- possibility to watch unforgettable sunsets.
Where to eat
In Mae Haad restaurants prevail affordable Thai menu with some European dishes. Shrimp salad, burgers, baguettes in the range, an impressive list of drinks (cocktails, fresh juices, beer) is waiting for the visitor of local institutions. In the Italian restaurants visitors can find home-made pizza and pasta.
What to do
In the afternoon people are busy diving and snorkeling. An endless stream of curious tourists are moving along the spit to the uninhabited island and back. Many people hike to the waterfall, which is located in 10 min from the beach.
In the evening various musical events are taken place. Guests sit right on the sand, collect down the restaurant tables and nearby hammocks.
Mae Haad is incredibly beautiful in the night. Relax music, dying fires on the shore, twinkling stars in the sky, flashing lights in the sea (signal roll call of fishermen going out to sea for night fishing) create an indescribable atmosphere.
