Haad Yao beach
Haad Yao Beach is wrapping around north-west of Phangan island and it is considered as an ideal holiday destination on the island.

Beach description
Soft, smooth-white sand is surrounded by crystal clear water from the one side, and by tall palm trees from the other side. In the absence of wind and waves, the sea surface shimmers with emerald shades. The beach length is 1 km, so there is enough space for everyone to relax and play frisbee.
Haad-Yao attracts fans of sports such as diving and snorkeling. The nearest coral reef, favored by various marine life, is relatively close- 400 meters. There are several diving schools offering scuba diving courses on the Haad-Yao territory. After these lessons you may relax in bar or restaurant-along the coast there are plenty of them.
There is quite mountainous area near Haad Yao beach and you can get here by one of the multiple mountain trails. It wouldn't take long to get from Haad Yao to major local attractions- the freshwater Laem- Son lake and spectacular Wang Sai waterfall.
When is it better to go
The period from November to March is considered the high season in Thailand. Comfortable air temperature, as well as minimal rainfall create optimal conditions for a beach holiday.
