Haad Thien beach
The area of Haad Thien Beach is only 250 meters, but is considered a symbolic place in the southeast of Phangan Island. Getting here in spring or summer is easier and cheaper by boat, and in winter, when the sea is stormy, it’s better to hire a taxi.

Beach description
The presence of a bar and the absence of prying eyes are the main signs of refuge called Haad Thien. Guy’s Bar is not so much a drinking establishment as a cult party center. Guests from all over the island come here in the evening. And in the morning, all the fun happens in its right part of the beach, suitable for swimming.
Entrance to the sea is with a smooth slope here. The bottom is covered with rare pebbles, which become thicker towards the left side of the beach. The surf strip is strewn with fine sand. However, the farther you you get from the water, the larger and tougher it becomes. Experienced tourists solve these problems easily: they go to the nearby beaches for swimming and go to the Haad Thien for sunbathing only. However, they come here, first of all, for the sake of parties. Many people combine sunbathing with meditation sessions at the yoga center and parties at Guy’s Bar.
When is it better to go
The period from November to March is considered the high season in Thailand. Comfortable air temperature, as well as minimal rainfall create optimal conditions for a beach holiday.
