Archer's Bay beach

Archer's Bay is a secluded little beach in Archer's Bay. It is located in the northwestern part of Barbados, 25 km from Bridgetown. Archer's Bay is a deserted white-sand patch surrounded by cliffs overgrown with rainforest and a small bay in which the Atlantic meets the Caribbean Sea.

Beach description

Due to the turbulent nature of the ocean in this region, dangerous undercurrents and reefs, coral and limestone cliffs, it is unsafe to swim on Archer's Bay. But due to the remoteness from the resort cities, it suits great for a romantic picnic, and the presence of a beautiful landscape makes it an ideal place for a photo shoot.

The path to the beach is a special adventure for tourists, since it is only possible to get to it by car, and then go down the cliff on a steep path down. A trip here is usually combined with a visit of the Animal Flower Cave. At the same time, Archer's Bay is chosen as a place to stop and rest on the road to the south. There is no infrastructure on the beach - no toilet, no cafe, no rescue service. Those, who want to stay in the Archer's Bay area for a few days, can easily rent a housing in the nearby town of Cluffs. There are also cafes and bars, where you can dine and taste the local rum, souvenir shops and shops, selling souvenirs.

When is the best time to go?

In Barbados island, the temperature is hot all year round, so the only thing that can ruin your vacation experience is the rainy season in summer. Any other period, the weather in Barbados is sunny and comfortable for all ages.
