The beach of Messakti is a specious sandy area with clean and cool water, which has an ideal temperature for the local hot climate. It has such a location on the shore that it is literally opposed to winds and waves. And for this it is loved by surfers who gather on the beach in groups and stay here all day to hone their skills. The waves are so high and powerful that they even create foam ridges.
Messakti is more suitable for water and beach activities than for swimming. Swimming in this area can be quite dangerous, especially for those who are insecure about the water. Children should not be allowed to go alone to the water. If you want to rest with children on this beach, it is better to keep them on the sand, especially since it is very soft and well sculpted. So the baby will definitely have something to do his leisure time. Usually families with children gather at one end of the beach (left), and surfers gather at the other end of the beach so as not to disturb each other.
When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.

For complete relaxation, you can order a cool cocktail at the local bar and rent a soft bag-chair (ottoman). The beach bar serves delicious salads or amazing pancakes. The speakers behind the bar play good quality music, so at such moments it seems that all your desires are fulfilled at the same moment. Many tourists who have visited this place note the high quality of the service of the beach bar, the waiters which bring food directly to the water and immediately take away the used dishes.

- The waves in this area can reach a height of up to 2 meters, so you should be careful with young children on vacation.
- In its eastern part, a small river forms a floodplain full of fish and turtles. This "secret" place is a real find for snorkelling enthusiasts.
- On the left side of the beach there are softer waves, so if you want to at least somehow protect yourself from the violence of the sea, take your place here.
- On this beach you can often meet vacationers even in early October. This is a kind of off-peak season for these places: the water temperature is even higher than 20°С, the sun is not so hot, and there are significantly fewer people than in summer.
