Keros beach
Keros (Keros Beach) is the long 4-kilometer beach of Lemnos, which is very popular among lovers of water sports. It is located between two freshwater lakes, in the picturesque bay of the same name on the eastern outskirts of the island, 2 km from the village of Kalliopi.

This is one of the best beaches in Lemnos, which is recommended for visiting, regardless of preference. The coastline here is covered with fine-grained sand, and the waters impress with turquoise plays and shells on the sea bottom. Significant shallow water and sloping entry attract families with children. But due to the constant north winds and the presence of waves, Keros is still a true paradise for windsurfers and kitesurfers. Here are the best wind conditions in northern Greece.
There are 2 schools on the coast, where it is offered to learn how to fly a kite or conquer waves under the sails of a windsurf board, and also rent the necessary equipment. The advantage of the beach is that there are simultaneously conditions for access to the sea open spaces of kiters of different levels. On Keros, weak waves are formed (for beginners), as well as a small flat and super-chop. Clear sea waters are also interesting for snorkeling.
There is always very crowded. With special comfort it is possible to stay in beach bars (there are several of them on the coast), where are umbrellas and sunbeds are provided. There is a beach campsite with showers. In the village itself next to Keros it is possible to admire the old churches.
