Beach description
Fine golden sand on the coastline with 1 km length and the sea bottom in combination with shallow water attract both residents of the island and the Greeks themselves from other parts of the country, not to mention foreign tourists. The purity of the water and the coast, combined with the developed infrastructure, contributed the Plati to obtaining mark of the "Blue Flag" and also added attractiveness to it in the eyes of tourists. There is almost always crowded. When resting with children, it is worth considering, that on the coastline it is often very windy and waves are formed.
Umbrellas and sunbeds are provided on Plati for free, there are showers and changing cabins, and it is possible to find bars and taverns on the coast. In the evenings, beach parties and discos are held here. Plati is also great for practicing various water sports, and on its coast it is possible to rent the necessary equipment and rental of funds for sea trips. There are excellent restaurants and museums, that are worth a visit, in the village.
When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
