Aci Trezza beach

The beach is located a few kilometers from Catania, in the small town of Achi-Trezza. This stretch of coast is covered with lava stones. Entering the water is not very convenient due to a pile of pebbles and boulders, so it will be difficult for children and people with disabilities to swim here. But the water on the beach is very clean, there are excellent conditions for snorkeling. The beach is suitable for those who are looking for a beautiful, but not too crowded and remote place from civilization on the coast.

The beach is well equipped for relaxation. There are showers, a toilet, a rental point for diving equipment. This beach is quite popular among tourists, so there are many shops, restaurants, hotels around it.

There are not many attractions near the beach, but tourists can find something interesting here. For example, Museo Casa Del Nespolo (“the fisherman’s house”) or Castello Normanno (an old castle in the neighboring town of Aci Castello, which can be easily reached from the beach on foot).

In terms of climate, the period from May to October is the most favorable for visiting Italy. The air and water temperature becomes ideal for a classic beach holiday, followed by a trip to the coast of Italy. However, it is necessary to remember that a long summer with the scorching sun, warm sea and pleasant sea breeze attracts crowds of tourists.
