Castellammare del Golfo beach
In the west of Sicily, somewhere between Trapani and Palermo, there is the small village of Castellammare del Golfo, which translates as "castle by the bay." And not without purpose - the ancient and majestic castle seems to patronize the town, standing on a hill.

Beach description
Castellammare del Golfo is a resort town, located on the very coast of the sea bay. There is a lot of greenery, and also a chic view of Monte Inichi mountain. The beach has the same name, as the small town, in which it is located. Tourists come here from Palermo, since it is quite convenient to get from there.
Vacationers seek to find a place, where it is possible to truly digress, to be alone with nature and rural calm. It is here, where vineyards grow, bean and corn fields stretch, where fishing traditions flourish, where it is possible. And, of course, everyone goes to be sure to visit the beach every day and enjoy the sea. The place has two beaches with fine sand, where it is possible to come with children and not be afraid, that there will be too many people - there are always few tourists. The entry into the sea is shallow, smooth, and the waves almost never rise in these quiet lands.
In the evening, it's time to walk around the town and view the local sights - Castello Arabo-Normanno Castle. There are two famous museums. This is the Water Museum and the museum of the ethnographic past of the village.
When is it better to go
In terms of climate, the period from May to October is the most favorable for visiting Italy. The air and water temperature becomes ideal for a classic beach holiday, followed by a trip to the coast of Italy. However, it is necessary to remember that a long summer with the scorching sun, warm sea and pleasant sea breeze attracts crowds of tourists.
