Marina di Modica beach
Marina di Modica is a miniature town, built on the very coastline. To get to the town, it is necessary to leave Pozzalo by a hired car or the old baroque town of Modica. Only 15 km from Modica on the SP194 highway - and you are there. If you don’t have your own transport and do not want to rent a car, it is possible to take the AST company bus, which regularly leaves Modica, taking tourists to the beach. Such a close proximity to major cities allows to leave the resort town and view Sicilian sights.
Marina-di-Modica is the best place for those, who appreciate, love and enjoy surfing and other water sports. It is very windy here sometimes, which is why big waves appear. In the summer season, the beach becomes a noisy overcrowded place, and the presence of restaurants and many shops attracts tourists even more. In spring or early autumn, the resort becomes empty and becomes a truly secluded place for a calm rest for families with children.
When is it better to go
In terms of climate, the period from May to October is the most favorable for visiting Italy. The air and water temperature becomes ideal for a classic beach holiday, followed by a trip to the coast of Italy. However, it is necessary to remember that a long summer with the scorching sun, warm sea and pleasant sea breeze attracts crowds of tourists.
