Scopello beach

From the airport in Palermo, it is possible to get here by car, taxi or bus. The trip will be 70 km. If you arrive by personal car, it will be necessary to leave it in a paid parking lot - it is not allowed to enter Scopello by car. The town itself contains several restaurants and hotels to choose from.

There are two beaches. One stretches per kilometer, and the second is very miniature. On the second, locals mostly rest, and the first is recommended for tourists to visit, since it is more extensive and beautiful, framed by cliffs. On a small one, oddly to say, there are so many people, that there is no room to turn around);. But then the water is pure, clear. Sometimes algae float to the surface, depending on the season and weather conditions. And also it is paid. The slope into the sea is concrete, which is not very convenient.

The second beach is much wider. It is possible to rest on it for free. The coast is covered with small shingle, but the bottom of the sea is completely sandy. The depth near the coast is great, so parents with children need to be especially careful. And in general, rest here is not for small children. Often there are high waves and windy, but the sea is so pure, that there is a feeling like entering it. Windiness depends on seasonal changes, so the waves are not always - sometimes it is possible to find a complete lull.

When is it better to go

In terms of climate, the period from May to October is the most favorable for visiting Italy. The air and water temperature becomes ideal for a classic beach holiday, followed by a trip to the coast of Italy. However, it is necessary to remember that a long summer with the scorching sun, warm sea and pleasant sea breeze attracts crowds of tourists.
