Beach description
Portopalo di Capopassero has access to two seas: the central street of Victor Emanuel in the east leads to the Ionian Sea. From the western side it is possible to get to the Mediterranean. A very hot, even arid climate becomes milder due to the proximity of these two seas. Sultry summer and generally the tourist season lasts until November, after which there is a mild, warm winter. There are many sandy beaches, that surround the cliffs, towering above the sea. There are few tourists on ordinary weekdays, but the beaches are crowded on weekends.
Climate affects vegetation: really exotic scenery, that surround the beaches, open to the eye. In addition to natural unusual creations, there is something to see from the point of view of history. This beautiful architectural structure is the Castello Fortezza fortress, also the unusual Tafuri castle, archaeological park. The fishing country is famous for its ancient tuna processing factory, located near the sea.
