Astafiev Gulf beach
The bay juts out a bucket in Gamov Peninsula in Primorski Krai. It occupies a decent part of the Far Eastern Marine Reserve. Water fascinates with its color and transparency. Climbing the nearest hill, tourists observe the bottom of the bay, even in places where its depth is more than 10 m. The territory is protected, but in the summer there is just a pilgrimage of knowledgeable in seascapes.

Beach description
In summer, the bay is an ideal place for a family holiday. White sand on the shore and under the water, beautiful nature around can compete with the beautiful southern beaches. There are no stones. The entrance to the water is gradual. There is just one unpleasant moment. It is cold undercurrents. Even in the middle of the august fervent heat, temperature differences are very sharp, only weather-beaten swimmers can swim.
The beach is wild, there are no amenities. Everything what you need is better to take with you on vacation. Those who come with their cars should leave it no closer than 500 m to the shore, which is scrupulously watched by the jaegers. Barbecues, bonfires, tents are prohibited here. In the evening everyone must free the territory not only from their presence. This means that the remnants of food and garbage must be taken with you. The nearest hotels, cafes, shops are located 2.5 km away, in the Vityaz village. There is an earth road from there to the bay . Parking cars and access to the beach is paid.
When is the best to go?
The best time to relax on the Far East coast is July and August. At this time, the temperature of water and air reaches maximum levels: about + 20°C on ground and slightly lower in the ocean. Summer in Primorye is rather short and foggy, especially in the southern regions - the humidity there is much higher, which also contributes to a comfortable rest.
