Ezhovaya Bay beach

Ezhovaya Bay is one of the few corners of Primorsky territory untouched by civilization, where you can enjoy the healing air and the beauty of the surrounding nature, admire the rare plants listed in the Red Book and watch the sea inhabitants living among the underwater boulders. It is located in the Lazovsky district of the Primorsky territory and owes its name to the huge population of sea urchins that live in its perfectly clear cool waters.

Beach description

A steep cape overhunging into the sea divides the bay into two parts - Bolshaya and Malaya, in the southwestern part there is a good sand and pebble beach and a stream with fresh water. The main visitors are wild tourists and divers, there are few people even in the warm summer months because of the relative inaccessibility of the bay and remoteness from large settlements. It’s better to get to Ezhovaya by an SUV (the final part of the path passes along a dirt forest road), there is a hiking trail through a hill from the neighboring Okunevaya Bay.

There is no beach infrastructure in the bay, therefore, vacationers are most often accommodated in tent camps and independently stockpiled with provisions and everything necessary (special rubber shoes are required!). You can also stay in the neighboring villages of Valentin and Preobrazhenie, where the nearest recreation facilities, campsites and rented cottages are located.

When is the best time to go?

The best time to relax on the Far East coast is July and August. At this time, the temperature of water and air reaches maximum levels: about + 20°C on ground and slightly lower in the ocean. Summer in Primorye is rather short and foggy, especially in the southern regions - the humidity there is much higher, which also contributes to a comfortable rest.
