Zolotari beach
Zolotari is one of the nearest and most favorite places of Nakhodka residents. Convenient asphalt road is laid here, public transport runs, and extensive infrastructure is developed. This place is called Zolotari since when gold miners worked here. Now this type of activity is irrelevant, families and friendly companies after 10-15 minutes are far from the developed polluted port in the bosom of a cozy bay with a sandy bottom.

Popularity of Zolotari is explained simply: many beaches near the city require a fee for the right to enter and set up a tent. The non-commercialized Zolotari is rush not only from Nakhodka, but also from nearby areas. From July to September, when the water temperature reaches its maximum local values, it is quite crowded and noisy. 20 degrees is a very attractive indicator for Primorye.
Vast beach is covered by sand. Sometimes it is almost black. The bottom is sloping and sandy, but on the shore, especially on the western part, there are sharp stones. Sometimes it is windy. In such days the waves bring a lot of seaweed, they also gather mostly on the right side of the coastal strip.
There is no official permission, as well as a ban, for swimming in Zolotari, but it is partially equipped:
- large asphalt parking;
- there are changing rooms;
- there is toilet near one of the numerous cafes;
- volleyball court is equiped;
- children splash with pleasure in a small shallow pond - “paddling pool”;
- several sun umbrellas are permanently installed upon request;
- a wide range of catering points for every taste, food stalls work;
- in the evenings disco noise;
- there are many places to stay, everything is nearby.
Hungry travelers will always find something which could satisfy their hunger. There are a lot of “tasty” cafes; shashliki made from pork and lamb are excellent.
There are many tourists with children on the beach, in peak season because of a large influx of people, the territory is a bit littered. Vast embarkment allows not only to relax on the beach, but go for a walk as well. There are many living creatures met: hedgehogs with gerbils, trepangs.
When is better to go?
The best time to relax on the Far East coast is July and August. At this time, the temperature of water and air reaches maximum levels: about + 20°C on ground and slightly lower in the ocean. Summer in Primorye is rather short and foggy, especially in the southern regions - the humidity there is much higher, which also contributes to a comfortable rest.

Infrastructure
For the last several years some recreation bases have appeared in Zolotari, good houses are rented. Amateurs of traveling with a tent occupy a place on the right side of the beach. Entrance is free, but fresh water should be brought with you or bought in the shop, there are almost no fresh water springs nearby.
Advantage of the beach is its close location to Nakhodka. In case something for a good rest is not enough, you can find everything in 10 minutes drive.
Gold miners of former times left behind a good legacy - 4 freshwater lakes, around of which a garden community is located. Here you can go excellent fishing. The last pond abounds with fish, which is bred by the owner of one of the recreation centers. Tourists living around the lake have access to it.
In summer time on the highway passing by the beach, vacationers watch motocross competitions. Spectacle is free. Enthusiasts of diving with a mask go to the stony part of the shore.
Many people sit out in the daytime heat in cafes nearby or go to Nakhodka restaurants, where they are also fed with tasty and inexpensive dishes. Russian cuisine is presented, you can also try Japanese dishes, Italian pizza or American fast food. A business lunch with friends or a sweet menu with children, everything is available here. In the city there is family cafe, where thematical events are held, and master classes are given.
